    The Railway Recruitment Board conducts the RRB NTPC Stage 1 exam as the first screening stage for recruitment to various Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) posts in Indian Railways, such as Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Station Master, and other non-technical positions. This stage is common for all NTPC applicants and is used to shortlist candidates for the next phase of the selection process.

    Key Details of RRB NTPC Exam:

      • 12th Pass or Graduation (depending on the post) from a recognized board or university.
      • Computer proficiency may be required for certain posts.

        • Total Questions: 100 (Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness).
        • Duration: 90 minutes.
        • Negative Marking: 1/3 marks for incorrect answers.
      • Computer-Based Test (CBT) Stage II :
        • Conducted for shortlisted candidates with a higher difficulty level.
      • Skill Test / Typing Test / Aptitude Test
      • Document Verification & Medical Test
    3. Exam Duration And Marks :
      • Total Questions: 100
      • Total Marks: 100
      • Duration: 90 minutes.
      • Negative Marking: 1/3 marks for incorrect answers.

    Objectives

    The objective of the RRB NTPC Stage 1 Exam, is to screen candidates for various non-technical posts in Indian Railways. It evaluates candidates’ aptitude, reasoning ability, and general awareness required for clerical, commercial, and traffic-related roles. The exam ensures a fair and transparent recruitment process by shortlisting candidates for next stages of selection.
